Oxidized Bitumen 85 25
The air passes through the penetration grades to produce blown or oxidized bitumen 85 25. 85/25 bitumen is simply harder bitumen made by this process. The rubbery properties are added this way so that the bitumen is rubbery. The softening point of oxidized bitumen 85/25 is 85 degrees and permeability is 25 degrees.

Petroleum bitumen is turned into oxidized bitumen 85 25 by blowing very hot air through 60/70 bitumen.
